The immediate answer
The August 3 hotfix focuses on Bunny escape options, replay analysis, settings, and movement reliability.
The number of Rabbit Holes has been doubled, giving Bunny teams more available escape points during a match. Replays now identify Bunny kills and escapes on the timeline, while fixes target corrupted replay files and add more information about the selected player.
The update also corrects an incorrectly consumed Lockpick, slow Rope movement, invalid zipline attachments, several collision problems, and smaller settings and localization issues.
Rabbit Holes doubled and the Oiler daily reduced
The number of Rabbit Holes available to Bunnies has been doubled. This is the hotfix's most direct gameplay change, increasing how frequently Bunny teams can access these escape routes.
The developers described the Oiler daily task as easier. The current build shows that its requirement has been reduced from five uses to one, allowing the task to be completed after a single successful use.
The player blacklist limit has also been reduced to 20 entries.
Replays now show the important moments of a round
Replay corruption has been addressed, and the timeline can now mark two important Bunny events:
- Bunny killed
- Bunny escaped
These markers should make it considerably easier to locate the turning points of a match without manually reviewing the entire recording.
The selected-player display now includes the player's Charge, movement speed, and active status effects such as Calmness, Confusion, Panic, and Stun.
The official notes also state that ‘player sub’ has been added to player statistics. Because the precise player-facing meaning of that label is not yet clear, it remains reported using the developer's wording rather than being interpreted further.
Lockpicks, resolution settings, and cosmetics
Escaping from a cage no longer incorrectly removes one Lockpick from the Bunny's inventory.
Changing the game's resolution now opens a confirmation prompt. Players have 15 seconds to accept the new resolution before the previous setting is restored, reducing the risk of becoming stuck with an unusable display configuration.
The hotfix also includes:
- Smaller settings fixes
- A Portuguese-language adjustment
- Regular Glasses being replaced by Sunglasses
Rope, zipline, and map collision fixes
Several problems affecting traversal have been corrected. Slow movement while using Ropes has been fixed, along with invalid attachments to ziplines and similar traversal objects.
Collision and placement fixes were applied to:
- Amusement Hall
- Small Gate
- Circus 4F
- Plaza 2F's Rope location
- Carousel 1F
Unlisted change: Impostor Tamer becomes Trap Tamer
Build 0.5.6540 contains an additional gear change that was not mentioned in the official Discord announcement.
Impostor Tamer has been renamed Trap Tamer and changed from a Magician-specific passive into a shared Hunter gear option.
Its effect now depends on the selected Hunter:
| Hunter | Trap Tamer effect |
|---|---|
| Magician | Adds one additional Impostor |
| Sisters | Adds one additional Mannequin |
This makes Trap Tamer a usable loadout choice for both currently available Hunter roles.
Because the change was found in the installed build rather than the official announcement, it remains clearly labelled as a package-verified finding.
